Rejoining the World of the Working!

I got my first job (if you exclude babysitting) working at Bath and Body Works during Christmas of my Senior year of high school. I was so excited to have a job and earn my OWN money! Sure it was a measly $6/hr but I wasn't trying to support myself. I can't imagine trying to live on minimum wage these days. I would not survive! But I stuck with the company all through college, working my way up from store to store. After 5 years (and a beautiful gift of a pink freshwater pearl ring) I had finally made it into management with the company! It certainly wasn't a job I wanted to keep for the rest of my life... I have too bad of a spending habit to live off $12/hr but at least it was better that the 6 I started out with :o)

After almost 7 years with the company, I finally had to turn in my keys and apron to focus on Pharmacy School. I have to earn 500 intern hours before I sit for my license and you can only earn those hours during summer, winter and spring breaks. Ugh!

Months of applications and job searches finally landed me a position in the pharmacy at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. Yay! I went in for my drug test this morning and have orientation next week. I can't wait :o) Wish me luck... It will be a very new experience!
A "Good Luck Erin" cake from my pharmacy in Ozark where I spent 2 1/2 weeks for my first rotation!!
